Financiers are acutely concentrated on the upcoming reports from the ‘Splendid 7’ megacaps, critical in forming the trajectory of Wall Street’s continuing rally.
Most of S&P 500 sectors ended favorably, led by customer staples and interaction services, while property and customer discretionary stocks closed lower, defying the wider market pattern.
In financial information, the U.S. Fifth District’s composite production index was up to -15 in January from December’s -11 reading.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.25%, closing at 37,905.45, the S&P 500 increased 0.29% to 4,864.60, while the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.43%, ending the session at 15,425.94.

- Individuals’s Bank of China Reserve Requirement Ratio cut by 50bps to 10%.
- Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index climbed up 3.56%, concluding the day at 15,899.87.
- A rise in Alibaba BABA shares drove the Hang Seng spike, which jumped approximately 6.57% following reports that creator Jack Ma bought $50 million worth of the business’s shares sold Hong Kong.
